This is the "Kyochiku 10" Kinko-ryu Wooden Shakuhachi, supervised by renowned shakuhachi master Katsuya Yokoyama. It is highly regarded among professionals for its exceptional quality. As it is no longer in production, finding one in good condition is difficult. This shakuhachi is made from maple wood, which is more resistant to cracking and easier to handle compared to bamboo. The joint uses cork, and to prevent the cork from peeling off when fully inserted, the upper and lower sections have been photographed separately.
The shakuhachi adapter is a helpful tool for beginners. When attached to the utaguchi, it allows for easier sound production and guides the correct airflow direction. The beginner VHS tape follows the NTSC format. If purchasing from overseas, please confirm that your video player supports NTSC. All items have been stored in unused condition, but please note that considerable time has passed since the original purchase.
